The Fukuyama Buddhist Fellowship serves the English and Japanese bilingual communities of Hiroshima, Mihara,
Okayama and Kurashiki areas. We are a member community of the Buddhist Faith Fellowship and founded in the
year 2007 by our BFF Practice Leader, Shodo.
A PLACE FOR FELLOWSHIP We offer
a caring, spiritual and open environment that naturally creates healthy relationships between the members of our spiritual
family. With our regular gatherings, practice groups, social events, etc. there is a place for you too.
A
PLACE FOR LEARNING We are engaged in the study of the whole of Buddhism but place more focus on Shin
Buddhism, which is designed for ordinary working people with busy schedules.
A
PLACE FOR PRACTICE Every gathering is an occasion for spiritual refreshment full of blessings and inspiration.
Our primary reason for meeting together is to practice the dharma, and to awaken to the Oneness of reality.

GATHERINGS
INCLUDE...
Our
community wishes to deeply explore into our hearts and minds in order to awaken to the Oneness of reality, symbolized
as Amida Buddha. So that we can deepen our appreciation, knowledge and experience of the Shin Buddhist teachings and practices, we use readings from various Buddhist books and multimedia. In
addition, we recognize the importance of practice, therefore, at the beginning of our gatherings we Go for Refuge in the Three Jewels, do inspirational prayers, practice sitting meditation and sacred chants using
the Om Mani Padme Hum and Juseige chants. Even though our studies emphasize the Buddhist teachings and practices, we are open to the
entirety of world spirituality.
In summary,
our gatherings include quiet sitting and voice meditation, plenty of discussion, fellowship and refreshments. Shodo and the
Buddhist Friends want you to know that you are invited to join them in practice.
Our
gatherings are Free of Charge and include discussion, voice meditation
and fellowship. Tea and small snacks will be served.
